Make a difference!
Make a lasting impact by contributing to The Community Medical Clinic of Aiken County today.
The clinic was originally formed in 1998 by Area Churches Together Serving (ACTS) and was named the ACTS of Caring Clinic. After the clinic began operating under the direction of its own board of directors, the clinic changed its name to the Free Medical Clinic and practiced out of the nursing building at the University of South Carolina-Aiken.
Then in 2007, the clinic moved to its current location at 244 Greenville Street NW and the name was changed to the Community Medical Clinic of Aiken County.
The CMCAC is an United Way of Aiken County agency and a member of the South Carolina Free Clinic Association, a group created to support and assist each other in improving the quality and availability of health care to the medically underserved through the effective and efficient management of free medical clinics and expanding efforts to other South Carolina communities.
Our Funding comes from:
We are more than a band aid for our patients. We provide them hope and a hand up to help them get back on the path to better health. We believe that teamwork and inclusion are the heart of valuing diversity. We strive to make sure that all voices are heard. Our approach to treating our patients is a whole person approach. We tailor their healthcare plan to their individual needs and encourage their input to ensure that their culture and values are taken into consideration when addressing their health. This allows us to know how best that we can work together. Within the clinic, we feel that cultural diversity enriches the work environment and makes us stronger as a team.
The Community Medical Clinic of Aiken County served 341 patients in 2022 under the guidance and support of the CMCAC staff.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Orion Jeter, CHW
OPERATIONS MANAGER/MARKETING DIRECTOR: Melanie Phillips, BACom
PHARMACIST: Katherine Hicks, RPH
EXECUTIVE COORDINATOR: Jasmine Blakely Kean
The staff insists that health care could not be accomplished without the ever-giving volunteer doctors, nurses and admin who give of the time to serve the underserved. Volunteers donated 708 hours during 2022 to CMCAC.
❤❤Thank you to our Board Members for always going above and beyond for the clinic and our community. We appreciate you so much!❤❤
